Halo, Is It Me You’re Looking For?

Another bright sunshiny day.
Admin2 is reading The Secret Life of Flies by Erica McAlister, which was eye-opening. Next time a swarm of tsetse flies comes at us like a hail of bullets, leaving us covered in blood, we will contemplate the fact that they are basically mammals, suckling their larvae within and giving birth to grubs as large as themselves. Thanks Ceri!
Sundog
Halo
Admin1 is reading A Spy’s Life by Henry Porter.
Admin2 is reading, on Audrey’s recommendation, The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge; a sugary sweet confection drenched in lashings of description in which a moon princess accompainied by friendly lion, pony, hare and unicorn triumphs over the man from the forest with his huge black cock.
Halo
Sundog

Admin1 is all aglow because his cricket team stole the show. He’s also been playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim since his birthday — thanks, Admin2!
Admin2 is reading Big Sky by Kate Atkinson.
We scored 10 on the GWQ.
Low Halo
Halo

Today was the hottest day so far this year: 14.5 °C.
Admin1 is reading Evil Things by Katya Ivar. Admin2 is reading The Black Prince by Adam Roberts (thx Admin1); a fun fragmentary newsreely novel based on a sketch of a script by Anthony Burgess and revelling in the bloodthirstiness of medieval armies.
Halo Again

Cos it’s almost halo-ween.
Admin1 is reading Wild Chamber by Christopher Fowler. Admin2 is re-reading A God in Ruins by Kate Atkinson; a life that might have been.
Coffee of the day: Mystery Coffee Mark 9 which tastes mysteriously like coffee. Good coffee though.
Halo Everybody

Admin2 is reading The Darkness by Ragnar Jonasson; what an utterly miserable book.
Coffee of the day: Columbia Fincas las Mercedes la Isla.
Sunset Sundog
Halo, Is It Me You’re Looking For?
White Light White Heat

The hottest day so far this year: 34.3 °C and another over 13kWh solar panel day. Will it ever end? Yes.
Sunny Afternoon

This brilliant segment of halo briefly appeared in the sky and nobody on the crowded street looked up; they were all engrossed in their phones.
Coffee of the day: Java Jampit.
Evening Sundog

Yesterday was one of our sunniest days ever, and the best for nearly three years: 12.985kWh. Today was not much worse: 12.288kWh.
Admin1 is reading The Darkness by Ragnar Jonassen — disappointing, with a rather incompetent wet hen of a heroine, despite being constantly told what a great detective she is.
We are watching The City & The City.
Say Halo to Heaven

Best solar panel day this year: 11.83kWh.
Admin2 got fed up with 4321 and is now reading Fall from Grace by Tim Weaver.
We scored a pathetic 5 on the GWQ.
