Merry Xmas Everybody

Chicken stuffed with duck, turkey, goose and pork, not to mention fruit.
Admin2 is reading Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (thx Admin1). Admin1 is reading The Dead Zone by Stephen King.
We watched Archangel (thx Admin2) which had a seasonal title, lots of snow, excellent and ugly actors and an unlikely plot; Robert Harris’ book made it seem a lot more plausible.
Coffee of de day: Jamaica Blue Mountain (thx again, Admin2! xxx); actually a bit weak for our palates; will try a different grind.
Happy Birthday Chris
Dish of the Day: Meat Pudding

A new addition to our repertoire but quite tasty.
Admin2 is reading Heat Wave by Penelope Lively, a novel in which all the characters work in the publishing industry, and which uses the same time-switching tricks as Station Eleven, but concerning a divorce rather than a global apocalyse.
We scored 8.5 on the Guardian Weekend quiz.
Weather Today: Snowy and Blowy

A good day for soup!
Admin1 is rewatching The Tunnel and reading Version 43 by Philip Palmer. Admin2 is reading The Finkler Question by Howard Jacobson (winner of Man Booker prize and allegedly funny: funny, my tuchis!). We scored 7 on the Guardian Weekend quiz when we finally got around to it after many distractions.
Happy New House
Eat Your Heart Out
Happy Birthday Audrey

A rainbow cake on a windy day.
Admin1 is reading The Torment of Others by Val McDermid. Admin2 is reading Voices by Arnaldur Indriðason. We are watching Braquo Season 3.
Kaffee des Tages: Kicker (fruity and a touch sweeter than the others), and Pocket Coffee, a chocolate containing a shot of espresso. Do not bite!
Merry Xmas Everybody!
Roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing balls, carrots, peas, purple sprouts (which turned green when cooked) and gravy. Yums! We watched The Code which was great till it ended in a rush in a plethora of loose ends and implausibilities. Coffee of the day: Jailbreak – citrussy with a kick.
Happy Birthday Lee

Another yummy cake. Admin2 is reading The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell which is spectacularly good until the supernatural battle in the penultimate section where the fireworks go off in all directions leaving the ending to ashes and burnt-out fuses.
