Admin1 is reading Tell No Tales by Eva Dolan, a realistically messy crime story tackling inner-city hate crimes; readable, but unconvincing villains.
Coffee of the Day: Red Giant: sublime.

Damn Fine Coffee

Admin1’s fancy coffee machine and fancy coffee in a fancy cup. Delicious. Thanks, Admin2!
Admin1 is reading The Night Crew by John Sandford (readable as always, with some good jokes. Q: What’s the difference between a rooster and a lawyer? A: A rooster clucks defiance. [Think about it…]).
Admin2 is reading The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. by Neal Stephenson and Nicole Galland, which was probably more fun to write than it was to read. Or edit.
We scored 9 on the Guardian Weekend quiz.
Damn Fine Cherry Pie

…and damn fine coffee: Mystery Coffee Mark 7.
Admin1 is rewatching Cracker.
Rain and a Bow

Another rainbow.

Kaffe av dagen: Mediterranean Mocha.
On Reflection

A big shiny ball by Clarence Dock.
Admin1 is reading The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. We are watching Follow the Money and drinking Cherry Cherry coffee which tastes of cherries.
Rainbow with Spokes

A pretty end to a patchy sort of day with 9kWh of sun and 0.6mm of rain.
Coffee of the day: Hill and Valley which had its ups and downs.
Raindrops

Admin1 is reading Bad Blood by John Sandford. Admin2 is reading Dead Joker by Anne Holt.
Cafe du jour: Brighton Lanes more bitter than we are used to but delicious, especially after we tried freezing the beans.
Neon Lights

A wet day.
Admin1 is reading The Bomber by Liza Marklund. Admin2 is reading Chilled to the Bone by Quentin Bates (bit confusing with watching Trapped at the same time as many of the characters had the same names and some had the same back story). We are watching Trapped. It’s the coldest day of the month so far.
Kahawa ya siku Kenya AA Blue Mountain: sweet and gingery.
Here Comes a Chopper…
…which was circling overhead for an hour today.
Admin1 is reading The Chosen by Kristina Ohlsson. Admin2 is reading The Passenger by Lisa Lutz, a “girl”-type saga of changing identities which was lively and readable if a bit downmarket.
Coffee of the day: Mahogany Roast Jampit Hit; woody, treacly and chocolatey.
Iridescent Clouds

The solar panels scraped 3kWh today. Admin1 is reading Stolen Prey by John Sandford.

Merry Xmas Everybody

Chicken stuffed with duck, turkey, goose and pork, not to mention fruit.
Admin2 is reading Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (thx Admin1). Admin1 is reading The Dead Zone by Stephen King.
We watched Archangel (thx Admin2) which had a seasonal title, lots of snow, excellent and ugly actors and an unlikely plot; Robert Harris’ book made it seem a lot more plausible.
Coffee of de day: Jamaica Blue Mountain (thx again, Admin2! xxx); actually a bit weak for our palates; will try a different grind.
Clouds of the Day: Stratocumulus and contrails

Admin1 is reading Luna: New Moon by Ian McDonald (a real treat, like all IM’s novels — vivid and engrossing, and a fine riposte to Heinlein’s Moon Is a Harsh Mistress). Admin2 is reading Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett.
Coffee of the day: Bottega Milanese Espresso Classica.
Rainbow

Admin1 is reading Frozen Moment by Camila Ceder (pretty good, if overlong). Admin2 is reading Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett.
Coffee of the day: Deluxe Colombia.
Mellow Fruitfulness
Our granadillas are coming along nicely.
Coffee of the day: KAFFE HELA BÖNOR MÖRKROST from Ikea: bitter, but apparently bitter is good.
We scored 8 in the Guardian Weekend quiz but much, much better in the Mars quiz.
105

A bright ending to a dull day with clouds that look like numbers. Yesterday — 14 Sep — we passed the 2012 solar panel total; that point was reached on 22 Oct in 2013 and 5 Oct in 2014.
Admin1 is rewatching The Fall.
Admin2 is reading Sweet Caress by William Boyd, which was disappointing to be honest, like a creative writing exercise cobbled together from random photographs.
Kaffee des Tages: Bellarom Espresso; not bad considering we got 1.2kg for £6.99
Beklagar din förlust Dave
Buddleia, Butterfly, Bee

A lovely sunny day brings the insects out.
Kaffi dagsins: Ethiopian Kochere Yirgacheffe; woody with a fruity aftertaste and yummy.
Admin1 is reading Midnight Fugue by Reginald Hill (frivolous and uninvolving, with irritating neologisms; Hill isn’t as funny as he thinks he is). Admin2 is reading The Day Is Dark by Yrsa Sigurdardottir.
Beebop a lula

Admin1 wondered how bees coped with snapdragons. Now we know.
Kave fun di tog: Colombia Cundinamarca bitter but tasty.
Flower of the Day: Bindweed
Cherries

A couple of our beautiful shiny cherries which have so far escaped the depredations of the birds. Admin1 has been watching The Signal and we are both watching Scott & Bailey.
Koffie van de dag: Sweet Bourbon Espresso; sweet, velvety, creamy and chocolatey. Yums!
2 Bees or Not 2 Bees
Our solar panels have, over 3.5 years, now made over 5MWh. At day’s end the Sunny Beam data monitor read 5008.35kWh, while the output meter which measures current supplied to the grid (and therefore governs our FITS payments) read 5151.86kWh. So the monitor has underestimated our generation by 143.51kWh.
Admin1 is reading Big Bad Wolf by Nele Neuhaus, and watched The Butterfly Effect. We are both watching Prime Suspect, and tonight we watched the rather good Ex Machina.
Kaffi dagsins Ethiopian Cherry Red Natural Process: delicious sweet rich raisiny fruity flavours.
Red and Orange

Red sky at night

Cloud of the Day: Cirrus uncinus
Feathers on another of a string of sunny days.
Admin2 is reading Acid Row by Minette Walters and not enjoying it at all.
Caffè della giornata Mediterranean Mocha: strong with a sweet orangey flavour.
Cloud of the Day: Lenticularis

With a bobble on top.
Kafeega ah maalintii: Konga Sedie, like grapes and strawberries as well as blueberries, and sublime.
